A) 7 SAMPLES:  THEN vs NOW

1)The situation before the issue/achievement, how it used to be.  Then what was done/happened/arrived:

In 1945, Tuberculosis was killing children daily on the reservation.  Charities would  pay for a bus to pick up children to take for treatment at local hospitals once a week, helping at least 20% of the infected, but leaving the remaining 80% of the sick to fend for themselves.  The problem kept growing, and growing out of control: infant mortality rates were now spiking higher than in just about anywhere else.  To everyone, there seemed little chance at controlling the epidemic, much less eradicating it.  To everyone, that is, except for one young Navajo woman, who armed with a freshly earned medical degree and boundless persistence, would become a catalyst for change in the war against TB.

2) Narrate the now: narrate an example of the achievement in action, and how it wasn't always like this

3) Obstacles in the way then: how it did not stop the achiever

4) Briefly list a  few important achievements in chronological order and achiever’s role in them

5) Outdid a past achievement/record:  everyone though achievement was peak, but it was outdone

6) Achievement perceived then/ vs perceived

7) Frowned upon then/highly regarded now
