A) 5 SAMPLES:  Story/Quote/dramatic, important example

1)A Dramatic example: Over 17,000 deaths due to infection during civil war.  Bullet wounds that were not fatal killed 8 out of 10 times when infection set in.  Open fractures from being thrown around after an explosion often became infected, and then killed 4 out of 10 times.  This was merely a preview of what was to come until world war I and beyond, until the achievements of anti-biotics  became a life saver on the battlefield.

2)Dramatic example: the only person who could make achievement:  Mountain Climbing is a sport about challenging one self to do the seemingly impossible.  Climbing Everest is considered by most a challenge far beyond all but a handful of the best mountain climbers.  So could anyone ever even imagine a man who can’t see trying and succeeding at climbing Everest?  That’s exactly what ____________ did: the first and possibly the only blind man to scale the earth’s largest mountain.
